The Maven Blood Pressure Monitoring Kit is intended to help you regularly self-monitor your blood pressure during pregnancy. With proper use, it may be able to help you detect early signs of certain pregnancy complications such as preeclampsia. Early detection of such complications can help ensure you receive timely and appropriate care from your providers during your pregnancy.

The Maven Blood Pressure Monitoring Kit includes a connected blood pressure cuff manufactured by Pylo, which shares your blood pressure measurements via cellular networks to an automated monitoring software service provided by Prevounce. The blood pressure cuff is intended to be used regularly as instructed by your provider. Any blood pressure measurements you take will be recorded by the Prevounce software, which will generate alerts sent by Prevounce when your measurements are out of the normal range. The default normal range can be adjusted based on the advice of your provider. Alerts may include information regarding your measurement and/or suggestions for next steps, such as taking an additional measurement, contacting your provider or a Maven provider, or, in certain cases, going to the nearest emergency room. Maven Care Advocates are always available to help you navigate any suggested next steps and to facilitate regular contact with your care team.

By ordering a Maven Blood Pressure Monitoring Kit, you acknowledge, understand, and agree to the following:

• You are the only person that may use the connected device. Do not permit anyone else to use the connected device to avoid interfering with your care plan and monitoring.
• Your device readings will not be monitored by a provider. You should track your readings in the log provided by Maven to share with your in-person provider. You may also request a copy of the data received from your connected device.
• You must report any suspected device malfunction to Maven as soon as possible. If you misplace or damage your blood pressure cuff, you will not be provided a replacement. If you are asked to return a device for any reason, you will be provided with prepaid postage and you must return it as soon as possible.
• It is your responsibility to discuss with your provider an appropriate normal range for your blood pressure measurements. You may contact your Care Advocate and request updates to the thresholds at which you will receive alerts.
• The Maven Blood Pressure Monitoring Kit is not intended as a substitute for care if you are experiencing an emergency medical condition or any symptoms requiring immediate medical attention. It is always your responsibility to obtain in-person care when you need it. 
• The Maven Blood Pressure Monitoring Kit is not intended to be used for medical diagnosis without input from your provider. Only your provider can diagnose you with a medical condition.
• The Maven Blood Pressure Monitoring Kit should never be used when contraindicated by your provider. Contraindications may include, but are not limited to: open wounds, dialysis fistula, subcutaneous foreign bodies, and history of lymph node dissection.
